Where you’ll work: This role is based at the College’s Hadlow campus.
Your hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 52 weeks per annum.
Your pay: Spine Points 32E (£26,000 full time equivalent) to 37 (£35,104 full time equivalent), rising to a ceiling of Spine Point 39 (£37,251 full time equivalent) with a full teaching qualification.
Working within Hadlow College’s (part of North Kent College) Countryside and Fisheries curriculum area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitability qualified, experienced and passionate individual to join the team as a Lecturer in Countryside and Wildlife Management including fisheries.
You’ll be required to prepare, teach and assess at a variety of qualification levels including C&G Land and Wildlife Management, providing support and guidance to your learners as they successfully progress through their studies.
You’ll have specialist knowledge of the curriculum area, which may be enhanced by any relevant industry / professional experience, as well as a formal qualification that underpins this knowledge. Experience of working or teaching fisheries would be useful.
We need you to be a team player and an excellent communicator, able to maintain a proactive approach and an eye for detail whilst working to challenging deadlines.
Teaching experience, particularly within Further Education, would be advantageous but isn’t essential. Likewise, although a full teaching qualification (at Level 5 or above) isn’t required at this stage, you would need to secure this within 3 years of appointment.
