Where you’ll work: This role is based at the College’s Hadlow campus.
Your hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum.
Your pay: Spine Points 32C (£28,000 full time equivalent) to 37 (£35,104 full time equivalent), rising to a ceiling of Spine Point 39 (£37,251 full time equivalent) with a full teaching qualification.
Working within North Kent College’s Land based curriculum area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitability qualified, experienced and passionate individual to join the team as a Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering.
You’ll be required to prepare, teach and assess on a variety of qualification levels, providing support and guidance to your learners as they progress through their studies. This role includes both Further and Higher Education delivery and will be conducted from a specialist agricultural engineering workshop, with a range of vintage and modern specialist machinery and equipment.
You’ll have specialist knowledge of the curriculum area, which may be enhanced by any relevant industry / professional experience, as well as a formal qualification that underpins this knowledge. We will also accept applicants from the motor vehicle industry providing transferable skills can be demonstrated.
We need you to be a team player and an excellent communicator, able to maintain a proactive approach and an eye for detail whilst working to challenging deadlines.
Teaching experience, particularly within Further Education, would be advantageous but isn’t essential. Likewise, although a full teaching qualification (at Level 5 or above) isn’t required at this stage, you would need to secure this within 3 years of appointment.
