The land is below the ridge to the south of Cadbrough Farm on the western outskirts of Rye and is on the edge of the High Weald area of outstanding natural beauty but does not fall within the Rye Bay site of special scientific interest.
The land has been farmed on an organic system by a local farmer in recent years and has the potential for strong yielding crops of cereals and break crops. From 30 September 2015 the new owner will be able to farm conventionally and basic payment scheme entitlements will be included in the sale.
Most of the land is growing arable crops of winter and spring wheat, maize and beans this harvest with small area of temporary and permanent pasture.
