What is thought to be the World’s biggest lamb has been born at a farm in Kent.
The ram lamb, which was born in the early hours of Wednesday morning, weighs a staggering 26 lbs, 2 lbs more than the previous record, which is held by a lamb in New Zealand.
Joseph King, who keeps the sheep at his farm near Leigh in Kent, said: “I couldn’t believe the size of him. I just feel sorry for the poor girl who gave birth to him. I will definitely be reconsidering my feeding programme next year.”
The lamb, which has aptly been named Goliath, took over an hour to deliver and despite some minor tearing to the ewe, is doing well.
