Jason Burgess has been appointed as chair of the British Growers Association. Mr Burgess, who has been on the board at British Growers for a number of years, has extensive experience of the fresh produce industry as a director of leading vegetable producer Produce World.

Under chief executive, Jack Ward, British Growers is looking to grow the range of services and support that it provides to the industry. The association currently looks after the interests of 24 grower organisations including crop associations, producer organisations and marketing groups.
British Growers aims to support the sector, maximise the opportunities and meet the challenges. The board plays a critical role in guiding and directing the executive team to provide the right services and maintain its relevance.
