The organisation represents around 5,000 landowners, farmers and rural businesses throughout south east England. David joins the CLA from Savills, where he has specialised in strategic estate management for more than ten years.
David will provide advice and guidance to CLA Members across south east England on issues related to landownership and rural business ownership. He will also play a key role in CLA south east’s work representing Members’ views across the region.
David said: “The South East’s rural economy is facing a range of challenges from poor broadband through to onerous amounts of red tape and the threat of compulsory purchase.
“The CLA is ideally placed to protect our members’ interests and help them to develop and grow their businesses. I am looking forward to working with CLA colleagues and Members in this role.”
CLA Director South East Robin Edwards said: “David has in-depth knowledge of rural and landowning issues and will be a major asset to our team in the South East.”
David lives near Newbury in Berkshire where his wife runs a show jump and event horse stud. In his spare time, David enjoys field sports photography as well as cycling.
