His Majesty The King has accepted the Patronage of the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE), following a review of patronages of The late Queen, The former Prince of Wales and The former Duchess of Cornwall.
In a letter from Buckingham Palace, it was stated that ‘His Majesty would be delighted to accept the Patronage of The Royal Agricultural Society of England’.
David Grint, CEO at RASE, shared that the news is welcomed by the society.
“Support from the Royal Family is integral to RASE’s history, ever since the society was granted its Royal Charter by HRH Queen Victoria in 1840,” he says.
“Welcoming The King as our new Patron marks a new chapter for RASE as we continue supporting the progression of knowledge and innovation within the agricultural community.
“Given that The King has always shown longstanding support of British agriculture, the environment and farming people, it is especially fitting to welcome him as our new Patron,” Mr. Grint concluded.
