Karen, who runs Kent Wool Grower’s gun shop in Ashford, was thrilled to receive her prize from Louise Tomlin of Jacksons Fencing. There was even more delight when Louise revealed that Jacksons had very kindly decided to increase the voucher money from £200 to £300 enabling Karen to widen her fencing horizons.

Ms Husk, who lives on her parents’ farm and helps out there in her spare time, also has her own beefstock that she hopes to be showing at some up and coming fatstock shows this winter.
Karen doesn’t show as much as she used to but her daughter, Charlotte has inherited her passion for farming, now acting as chairman of Acryse Young Farmers’ Club and regularly taking part in shows. Farming is very much in the family for the Husks with everyone being strongly involved.
