The Beachborough Estate is just to the north west and west of Folkestone within the Gault Vale. The land is being offered to let by Informal Tender as a whole with a closing date of 12 noon on Friday 1 June 2018.
The estate is predominantly Grade III agricultural land with a significant amount of woodland and is available on a six-year Farm Business Tenancy (FBT) agreement from 1 October 2018.
The land is split into six separate blocks with the main block in the centre of the estate extending to approximately 534.45 acres. Soil types vary with the north consisting of the Denchworth soil series of clayey soils in gault and to the south the Barming, Bearsted and Hothfield Soil series or freely draining loamy soils over lower greensand rocks and Folkestone Beds. The majority of the agricultural land has been ploughed or cultivated within the last 15 years excluding the upland banks that form part of the Folkestone and Etchinghill Escarpment SSSI.
