The BASIS Classroom is a unique online learning platform which is currently exclusively available for members of the BASIS Professional Register. Over the past 15 months the system has been used extensively with over 20,000 courses being completed, and more than 35,000 BASIS CPD points being collected by members.
Following this success, BASIS have taken the decision to develop the classroom further by moving it to a new digital learning system. This will allow members to access more unique, self-paced, interactive learning experiences, from a wider range of course providers covering a broader range of relevant technical content. This will include the first online course developed by BASIS themselves which focuses on how farmers and agronomists can utilise integrated pest management techniques to enhance beneficial organisms within the farmed environment.
Tanya Kesterton, Head of Digital Learning at BASIS, who has been instrumental in the development of the BASIS Classroom said “I am delighted to be part of the launch of the new BASIS Classroom platform, which will provide our members with interactive learning experiences which they can access via a single click from any device at a time which suits them. What is especially exciting is this is just the start of our digital learning strategy at BASIS, and the new BASIS Classroom platform will provide us with an opportunity to expand our offer to wider audiences in the future.”
BASIS professional register members will be able to access the new BASIS Classroom from Monday 20th September, and BASIS will be offering further opportunities for digital training for members and non-members over the coming months.
