The level block of bare land, which is in Warehorne, about nine miles from Ashford, extends to about 138 acres and has been principally farmed on an arable basis, having formerly been used for winter wheat and barley in rotation. The land is currently being utilised on a contract farming agreement.
There is good accessibility to the block of farmland via a lane frontage and a well-maintained track. The soils have been classified as Grade 2.
Chris Spofforth of Savills southern farm agency, who is marketing the land, said: “Quoting a guide at £8,500 per acre, the land has been priced to sell and accordingly we are anticipating firm interest from farmers who may want to get a winter crop drilled. BPS entitlements are included in the sale and the land is free of environmental scheme encumbrances.”
Savills is marketing the land as a single lot at a guide of £1.175 million.
